How We Operate
Bristol Soup Run Trust serves as a federation of around twenty teams dedicated to providing essential homeless outreach services. Some groups are larger and well-resourced, often affiliated with churches, while others are smaller, independent teams. These groups engage in Bristol charity support by operating the soup run on varying schedules—some once a week, while others operate once or twice a month. Regardless of the group, the same locations are consistently visited at the same times, offering valuable volunteering opportunities for those looking to make a difference.
Who We Help
While some of the people we serve through our Bristol charity support are homeless and will sleep outside that night, others may have some form of accommodation. People turn up at the Soup Run for various reasons: hunger, loneliness, companionship, or advice. Whatever the reason, we provide homeless outreach services without judgment; our role is to offer food, refreshments, a sleeping bag, a pair of socks, toiletries, advice if needed, and, above all, a friendly smile and a willing ear. We also encourage local community members to get involved through volunteering opportunities, helping us to better serve those in need.
